The Mega Buster is Mega Man's main weapon, usually used to defeat the first evil Robot Master he comes in contact with. Using the copy chip , Mega Man can copy the abilities of any robot master he defeats, but to do so he has to swap his Mega Buster for another weapon.
Mega Man also has the ability to disarm his Mega Buster and turn it into a second arm instead. He mainly does this for times when he is not battling or he is helping Dr. Light as Rock.
